Finance and Donor Processing Assistant

When you think ministry, do you think processing donations? How about providing accurate reports? Tracking and recording financial transactions? These are typically not the first things that come to mind when someone mentions youth ministry. However, here at Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana, we believe that not everyone is called to directly minister to teenagers, but everyone is called to use their talents to minister.

With that in mind, Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana (YFCNIN) is looking for a Finance and Donor Processing Assistant who is passionate about reaching young people with the life-changing message of Jesus and wants to use his/her operational and development skills to make a difference in this community! This individual will be a utility player within the Finance and Development departments and will work closely with both teams ensuring quality donor interaction and accurate information.

The right applicant is someone with a willing spirit, who will take the initiative, is a team player, and who is willing to own projects individually. This is a person who is passionate both about donor relations and finance. He/she is strong in communication over the phone to donors and internally to the team, and also loves the details associated with accounting. This position will process accounts payables, record Trip, Event, and Fundraising Revenues and their related Expenses, record payroll timesheets and complete ad hoc reporting as assigned by the Director of Finance relating to general accounting and employee benefits. This person will accept, process, and input all donations, manage the donor database making clean and accurate data a priority, and ensure appropriate communication and donation confirmation happens with our donors.

This is a full-time position based out of our YFCNIN main office (6427 Oakbrook Parkway, 46825) in Fort Wayne, IN. We are tucked back into the Brotherhood Mutual Campus, right off I-69, with quick access to downtown Fort Wayne.
