Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana is searching for a leader in the Fort Wayne community who will focus on furthering the mission and vision of YFCNIN and developing our urban ministry program in the 46807 zip code.

This role consists of:

Ministry excellence - This person will be the gatekeeper for excellence of City Life ministry in 46807, ensuring that ministry standards are being met and that proper training, development, curriculum, and techniques are being implemented. This person will engage directly in relational ministry with students and should have a passion and love for urban youth.

Program excellence - The City Life Center in the 46807 runs daily after school programming. Programming consists of educational success, recreational activities, family meal, club, and other special opportunities. This person is the point person for daily programming planning and management.

Holistic ministry - City Life ministry is built to raise up indigenous leaders who will have a positive impact in their community. City Life uses a holistic ministry model to do this which includes basic health and safety, civic literacy, spiritual and moral literacy, economic literacy, and educational success. This role is the point person for implementing this holistic ministry model in 46807.

Ministry growth - This person will lead efforts to grow the ministry presence of City Life 46807 within the community. This will include being the point person for our relationship with South Side High School.

Volunteer and team leadership - This person will lead, coach, serve, and encourage our team of staff and ministry leaders who are engaging in relational ministry- modeling effective ministry for them and coaching through the beauty and mess of relational ministry with young people. This position will be responsible for shepherding the right group of people needed to accomplish the mission.

Community engagement - This person will be actively engaged in the community representing City Life and YFCNIN. He/she will serve on strategic task force groups. He/she may be asked to be the gatekeeper for some key partnerships with churches and like-minded organizations.

Operational management - While many operational functions on a detail-level are coordinated and executed by members of the City Life and YFCNIN operations team, this person will be responsible for the operations of the 46807 City Life building in Fort Wayne on S Calhoun.
